Text isn't showing in pleadings in Microsoft Edge

In February of 2024, Microsoft released an update to the Edge internet browser. After doing so, some users started having problems with their pdf pleadings no longer populating with data in EstateAssist. Microsoft identified issues with Edge's ability to read pdfs and released a new update. However, some users continued to have problems.

We tend to prefer and suggest users use the Google Chrome browser. However, if you prefer Edge, there is a simple setting change you can make to ensure your documents continue to work just as intended.

  1. Open the Edge application.
  2. Type "edge://flags/" into the address bar and press Enter.
  3. Type "new pdf" in the search box that appears at the top of the Edge window.
  4. Change the New PDF Viewer to "Disabled."
  5. Click the "Restart" button that appears at the bottom of the screen.
